If you have been tuned in to the latest trends in the health food industry, then you have probably been hearing of the benefits of adding collagen supplements to your daily health regime.

The demand for collagen supplements is steadily rising every day, and the market estimated to be worth over $6.63 billion by the year 2025.

It seems like everyone and their dog is taking some form of collagen peptides or collagen powder, and all for a good reason; it really works. It will help you achieve stronger joints, clearer skin, better digestion, and even thicker hair.

So if collagen is so important, how can we fit it into our health regimes so that we are able to integrate it as part of our diet?

Keep on reading to learn some delicious ways to incorporate collagen supplements into your nutrition plan, without having to chug down another shaker cup of unflavored powder again!

1. Collagen Fortified Coffee

Because the collagen peptides powder is flavorless, there are endless recipes that you can add it to without worrying about it changing the flavor. Even better, it also has the perfect consistency to add to hot drinks such as coffee!

Simply add your collagen powder to your morning cup of Joe, and blend it with a bit of coconut oil, and/or two tablespoons of grass-fed butter. Coffee is already good for the body and the soul, now you just upped its game into a creamy delicious morning elixir.

2. Collagen Matcha Latte

If coffee isn’t your jam, no need to worry because you can do the exact same above recipe – but this time with the green powder of the Samuari’s, Matcha!

Matcha is powdered green tea leaf on steroids, it is packed full of antioxidants, chlorophyll, fiber, minerals, and gives you a natural kick of energy without the crash.

Now add the collagen peptides to the mix and you become one green, mean, samurai fighting machine. Simply blend together the collagen, matcha, 1 cup almond milk, 1/2 cup hot water, and a touch of honey.

3. Chocolate Mint Collagen Smoothie

There is nothing more satisfying than starting the day with chocolate, especially if it is healthy. Now you can have your chocolate without the guilt in this delicious mint chocolate smoothie with collagen!

Add to a blender:

  • 1 cup regular or unsweetened chocolate almond milk
  • 1 tbsp cacao powder
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1/2 frozen avocado
  • 1 small bunch of fresh mint leaves
  • 1/2 cup of ice
  • A scoop of collagen powder

One of the great things about collagen supplements is that they can be added to any drinks, whether hot or cold. This makes it virtually impossible to mess up any recipe by adding collagen to it.

Feel free to add some other elements to your smoothies such as maca powder, which is a great hormone balancer and adaptogen to strengthen your adrenals.

4. Energy Balls

Aside from the drinks, there are many other recipes that you can easily add collagen into. Another recipe we love is energy balls with added collagen, as they are both satisfying and satiating. The added fats make these little powerbombs full of natural sources of energy for a long day of hiking or work.

In a large bowl, combine:

  • 2 cups of oats (gluten-free if needed)
  • 2 scoops collagen powder
  • 1 cup of peanut or almond butter
  • 2/3 cup of honey, or less if using maple syrup
  • 2 tsp of vanilla extract
  • additional ingredients such as coconut flakes, chocolate chips, ground flaxseed, or cacao nibs.

Roll into little balls, and then place on parchment paper on a cookie sheet and freeze for a couple of hours. Remove then add to a container for storage.

5. Collagen Boosted Protein Pancakes

Everyone loves pancakes, however, they are not usually on many healthy-diet plans. Well, we are going to change that belief up with these delicious and healthy protein pancakes with added collagen.

In a blender, add together:

  • 1 scoop collagen
  • 1 scoop protein powder of choice
  • 1 cup of whole oats
  • 1/2 banana
  • pinch of cinnamon
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup egg whites
  • 2 tablespoons of ground flax
  • touch of almond milk if too thick

Blend together, then let the mixture sit for about five minutes to set. Heat 1 tbsp coconut oil in a non-stick frying pan on medium heat. Add 1/2 cup mixture to the pan each time, flipping when the edges start to cook.

Add some chocolate chips, coconut flakes, or cacao nibs for extra flavor. Then top with maple syrup, peanut or almond butter, or coconut oil.

6. Add to Soups

You do not have to only drink bone broth to reap the health benefits of collagen. All you have to do is make your favorite soup recipe and add a scoop of collagen in your bowl and stir it in before you eat it.

This is best done with thicker soups such as lentil soup, potato-leek, creamy butternut squash, carrot-ginger, tomato, seafood chowders and more. The options are limitless, and each recipe provides you with another way to add more collagen supplements to your diet.

About Us

PhiNaturals

Phi Naturals was founded by the two of us, Dr Rick Argall and Dr France Carpentier, in 2012 when we retired as chiropractors and wanted to continue helping others improve their health. Our first product, Collagen Complete, was originally developed to help with joint tissue and recovery from joint injuries. As others started to try it, it began to earn a reputation as a popular beauty supplement. Today, we've added over 15 other supplements to our lineup of high-quality products. We continue to formulate and source the ingredients for each of our products. They are manufactured in the USA with an FDA-registered GMP facility in Florida. We look forward to helping you achieve your optimal health. Please feel free to call or email us if you have any questions!
